When something works why change it?
Originally designed by Swedish-born Architect Greta Magnusson in 1947 the Grasshopper Floor Lamp is such an appealing fixture that it has been resurrected and reissued by Gubi.
Floor lamps are always a welcome addition to any space I work on. They are to me jewelry of the space that finishes them off and gives that refinement that is just so perfect. Not to mention the spaces that work the best are often the ones that have many varying types of lighting. This makes it easy to change the mood of your room effortlessly.
This floor lamp has turned my head whenever I have seen it. It is versatile and has a subtle air about it lending it perfect for a variety of rooms.
Where would I use it? I would use it on either side of my bed to clean up the surface of my bedside tables and add a little bit of sculpture as a freestanding bed-frame.
